Transition from Year 6 to Year 7

We work very closely with our local primary schools to create a smooth and stress-free transition to The Skipton Academy.

In addition to a variety of activities arranged for primary children in June, all students are visited during the summer term by Mrs Dudley, Miss Brown or Mrs Altham. Class teachers are spoken to and individual information gathered about each child who is joining us in September.

A Parent Information Evening will be held on Wednesday 26th June at 5:30pm, for new students, when parents and carers are introduced to the school.  We also use this as an opportunity to gather opinions on the transition process so that we can evaluate and modify our practice.

Uniform

They are ambassadors for themselves and for our school when they are out in the community. The ‘stay smart’ message benefits us all.
