Word Processing:-  Bold, Centre, Underline, Indents, Paragraph formatting, Line Spacing, margins, colour, headings, spell check, grammar check, fonts and sizes etc. Studying different devices such as PC’s, Mobile Phones and Tablets. Looking inside a PC and understanding how it works.Understand some basic Networking Topology and Binary converting. Coding in HTML (Hypertext Mark-up Language).Basic java to produce a web page.

This will be used in GCSE Computing.

Use programming to control everyday items found in and around town and how to control basic theme park rides.This will be used in GCSE Computing and is supported by an optional trip to Disney in October of Year 8. Programing in Python, this is the main programing language used for GCSE.
They will create a quiz that will check if the answer is correct and then give or remove points depending upon the answers given to the questions.
Create a PowerPoint presentation.  Covering Tasks 1 Australia and Task 2 Healthy Eating assignments.

Part 1:- 20 minute practical task to create a document that recommends specific products to fulfil a need.
Part 2:- 25 minute theory test of 11 questions, 10 are multiple choice from 12 possible answers and 1 is written and assessed for spelling and grammar.
