Careers Education, Information, Advice & Guidance
Our careers advisor will work with the Careers Leader to organise meetings for students and actively promote the options available.
The careers support programme at The Skipton Academy focuses on encouraging each student to consider a wide range of career pathways and provides the support to make their goals a reality.
We achieve this by offering students timely independent careers guidance during one to one career interviews for every student in KS4.
We welcome any provider or employer to contribute to our careers offer at The Skipton Academy. If you would like to contribute to our careers programme through assemblies, lessons or careers events please contact Mark Cook (Deputy Principal) by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss further. All requests will be considered in the context of the academy’s 5-year careers journey.
The school policy on safeguarding sets out the school’s approach to allowing providers into school as visitors to talk to our students.
Once visits have been agreed, the academy will provide appropriate rooming to facilitate the visit, along with any equipment requested by the provider, where it is available.
Providers are welcome to leave a copy of their prospectus or other relevant course literature to be displayed in the LRC.
The Skipton Academy is committed to providing careers support and advice.
