Here at The Skipton Academy we are working towards becoming an eco-school. Part of our project is to make our School eco-friendly and to get an Eco School Award.

To do this we aim to:-

  • reduce the amount of plastic being used by making reusable books.
  • we are making improvements to the walled gardens to make it more eco-friendly and also nicer for natural habitat.
  • we want to try and get funding for water bottles in school, providing drinking fountains to reduce plastic and improve our health in school.

Our first step is to get the Bronze Award.  We are going to open the club to all staff and students at The Skipton Academy.

Our first meeting was held on Tuesday 21 November 2017 in C9.
