The unit is a double unit and lasts for 60 guided learning hours

Writing a detailed evaluation of the Jingle Bell Christmas show.Students will analyse their performances using video evidence and student/staff feedback sheets along with their own opinion of how the show went.

Students will learn to justify the points made rather than describe what happened.

Self –managementStudents must manage their time effectively and organise themselves. They must show commitment and self-motivation in rehearsals to ensure quality practice takes place

Several genres of each discipline will be researched and performed to show a breadth of skill and knowledge

CONTENT Preparation for the externally assessed unit- The Individual Showcase Applying for a job in Performing Arts in preparation for externally assessed unit 1.Mock exam Acting on feedback from the mock exam students will prepare for the real exam. 30 guided hours are given to this process, Final preparation for the Individual Showcase.Two hour controlled assessment based on applying for a job and a 10 minute audition/presentation
SKILLS Preparing for an audition piece.Composing/choreographing the piece of music or dance
