Pathway to Outstanding

A large number of our Year 11 Students are set to join Ilkley Grammar School’s Sixth Form in September 2020, which is a significant rise in the number of previous Year 11 students going on to the Sixth Form at Ilkley Grammar School, as part of our partnership with Moorlands Learning Trust.   

Student progress over the past 3 years places Ilkley Grammar School in the top 20% of providers nationally and the grades students achieve are consistently significantly higher than national figures.  This will create exciting new opportunities for our students and give them the chance to work with a wide range of students and staff who are equally as committed as TSA students are to achieving their best.

In 2017 the quality of the Post-16 provision at Ilkley Grammar school was officially graded by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’, meaning that the opportunities our Year 11 students will have while attending this Sixth Form are among some of the best in the region and indeed the country.

Ilkley Grammar School offers outstanding teaching, specialist pastoral care and a wide range of academic and vocational courses to meet the needs of their students. This is also complemented by extensive enrichment opportunities including sports leadership qualifications, first aid skills, work experience, leadership of younger students, the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and wider life skills. Such provision helps students develop into well-balanced young adults who are not only academically successful, but have the skills and confidence to make a positive difference to their own lives and the lives of others.

We are delighted that this partnership as part of Moorlands Learning Trust and Ilkley Grammar School has enabled our students to make these applications and we look forward to watching them continue to grow as they move onto this next exciting stage in their academic career.
