He then went on to discuss some of the key revision techniques that students can use, such as creating revision timetables, using flashcards, and practising past papers.

During the evening parents were given tips on how to create a supportive home environment for revision. He suggested that parents provide their children with a quiet place to study, help them to stay organized, and offer them encouragement.

The parent information evening was a valuable opportunity for parents to learn more about how they can help their children succeed in exams. The event was well-received by parents, who appreciated the opportunity to learn from the school's experts.

Here are some additional tips for parents on how to help their children revise:

  • Set a good example. Children learn by watching the adults in their lives. If you want your child to be a good student, ensure you are a good student. This means setting aside time for studying, working hard, and always doing your best.
  • Be positive and supportive. It's essential to be positive and supportive of your child's efforts. Let them know that you believe in them and that you are there to help them succeed.
  • Help them create a revision plan. Sit down with your child and help them create a revision plan. This should include a schedule for studying, as well as a list of topics that need to be covered.
  • Provide them with the resources they need. Ensure your child has the resources they need to succeed in their exams. This includes books, pens, paper, and a quiet place to study.
  • Offer them encouragement. Let your child know that you are proud of their efforts and that you believe in them. Encourage them to keep working hard and never give up.
