Another Set of Excellent GCSE Results for The Skipton Academy
The Skipton Academy are celebrating another set of fantastic GCSE results achieved by its students today. Mark Cook, Principal, said “We are immensely proud of the achievement of all our students. The results that the students receive today are the culmination of five years’ hard work and the success they have achieved is well earned. I would like to take the opportunity to thank not only the students who have always contributed a huge amount to the school and embodied our ethos of Belong, Challenge, Inspire but also their parents, carers and families. The continued success of our students can only be achieved with families working with our committed staff to ensure the students challenge themselves to achieve the most they possibly can.”
Richard McManus, Executive Principal, said “I am delighted that the results show that The Skipton Academy continues to flourish and improve and that the fantastic young people who have been exceptional ambassadors for our school for the past five years leave us well equipped academically to continue their educational journey wherever that may be. It is immensely pleasing to see students achieving grade 9s in academic subjects such as History, English Literature and Science as well as subjects we have reintroduced to the curriculum in recent years, such as Textiles. It really does illustrate the journey the school has been on over the last few years and shows that the commitment to academic excellence is bearing fruit. More than that I am very proud of the young people they have become and wish them and their families all the best for the future.”
