Principal's Message
At The Skipton Academy we are enabling our students to achieve their potential. We believe that our ethos of Belong, Challenge, Inspire encapsulates our vision for education. As teachers we are committed to providing learning which is engaging and allows students to make progress in every lesson, every day. We are determined to provide first class comprehensive education to the community of Skipton and we have achieved much this academic year to make that a reality for these are exciting times at The Skipton Academy and the journey has just begun.
Belong, Challenge, Inspire
At The Skipton Academy we belong to a school community where we feel safe, connected, understood, and supported. We aim to be an integral part of the Skipton community by providing parents and children with a high quality school that caters for the needs of all Skipton residents. The Skipton Academy encourages all students and staff to achieve their full potential by providing guidance and support whilst maintaining a high level of challenge. We inspire our students through motivational teaching and learning, being positive role models and creating an environment of high aspirations for all.
Great students, fantastic community
Here at The Skipton Academy, we are proud of all of our students and their many achievements, both within the school and the local community. We firmly believe that encouraging students to participate in a range of activities helps to build confidence, independence and resilience, so that we can help prepare them for life beyond school, whether that be college and university, apprenticeships or the world of work. Students from all year groups are encouraged and invited to share their views and take part in activities that help to facilitate change so that we can continue to drive the school forward.
