Bushcraft Day 2021
Year 7 students participated in a Bushcraft Day.
It was great to welcome Yorkshire Dales Bushcraft to The Skipton Academy. The students had a brilliant day learning some really important life skills. The day consisted of many activities:

Primitive shelter making

Emergency shelter and calling for help

Fire lighting, primitive and advanced.

The primitive fire bow.

Campfire baking and cookery.

Chocolate damper bread and Rainbow trout.
The day got them thinking about how they can be the custodians of the environment. We are really excited to be working with Yorkshire Dales Bushcraft on some brilliant new projects.
