Dales Cup Highlights Effort and Teamwork

The Dales Cup saw both our Year 11 and Year 8 teams compete with spirit and determination against tough competition. While the outcomes were mixed, both teams delivered notable performances that reflected their hard work and commitment.

Year 11 faced some strong opponents but maintained a positive attitude and strong effort throughout the event. Farbod’s footwork stood out, as he manoeuvred past defenders with skill and composure. Another highlight came from Charlie Price, whose unexpected run from goal to the opposite end of the pitch showed his determination to push the game forward. Jack Metcalfe’s well-executed strike was a standout moment, providing a memorable highlight for the team.

The Year 8 event was highly competitive, with all four teams playing at an even level. Despite narrowly missing out on a few wins, the team displayed great resilience and fought hard until the end of each game. Gabe Townsley shone in goal, making several critical saves and showing strong defensive skills under pressure.

Both teams showed commendable effort and sportsmanship, reflecting the school’s values and providing a solid foundation for future competitions.
