Students Celebrate GCSE Results
Students at Skipton Academy have received their GCSE results, reflecting a year of consistent effort and dedication. The school community is recognising these achievements as a testament to the hard work of both students and staff.
This year, 63% of students at Skipton Academy achieved grades 9-4 in English, a core subject where many students performed admirably. In Mathematics, 50% of students earned grades 9-4, marking solid performance in another critical area of the curriculum. Across all subjects, 51% of students reached grades 9-4, indicating consistent achievement throughout the student body.
While the overall results are commendable, several students have distinguished themselves with outstanding individual performances. Emerson Ingham is particularly noteworthy, having achieved two Grade 9s in English Literature and French, one Grade 8 in English Language, and a Grade 7 in Geography.
In addition to Emerson’s success, other students have made significant progress, above national figures, since joining Skipton Academy. These students, who have made notable strides in their academic journeys, include Gabor Banks; Charlotte Dobson; Ronald Holtom, Sufyaan Mahmood, Joshua Manning, Jessica Shaw, Oliver Tipling, Ember-Rose Whitehead
Mr McManus expressed satisfaction with the results, noting, "We are encouraged by the progress our students have made and the dedication shown by everyone involved. These results reflect the steady efforts of our students, and the support provided by our dedicated staff. We look forward to continuing our work to support students in achieving their full potential."
As the academic year concludes, Skipton Academy celebrates these achievements while looking ahead to further progress. Skipton Academy extends its congratulations to all students and thanks the staff, and parents for their ongoing support.
