Welcome to the Class of 2029
The Skipton Academy is proud to announce the arrival of its newest cohort of students, the Class of 2029. This group of enthusiastic learners marks an exciting new chapter for the school, as they embark on their secondary education journey with The Skipton Academy.
The academy welcomed students from more than ten different feeder primary schools across the region. With this diverse mix of backgrounds and talents, the new students are set to enrich the school community with their unique perspectives and experiences.
During the first week, the academy organised a series of orientation activities designed to help students settle into their new environment and get to know their peers. These initiatives not only provided the students with a warm welcome but also reinforced the school’s commitment to fostering a strong sense of belonging and teamwork.
The transition from primary to secondary school is a significant milestone in every student’s life, and The Skipton Academy is dedicated to ensuring that the Class of 2029 thrives both academically and personally. Teachers and staff have been working tirelessly to provide a supportive, nurturing, and engaging environment to help the new students flourish.
The Skipton Academy’s Principal, Mr McManus stated, “We are thrilled to welcome such a vibrant and diverse group of young people to The Skipton Academy. The Class of 2029 brings with them a wealth of potential, and we are committed to helping each and every one of them achieve their full potential. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish.”
As the Class of 2029 settles in, The Skipton Academy looks forward to supporting them through the challenges and triumphs of secondary school life, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed both academically and personally.
