Principal invites prospective parents to attend The Skipton Academy Open Evening

We would like to invite all prospective parents to attend our Open Evening 2021 on Wednesday 29th September. We are delighted that this year we are able to offer an “in person” experience for our Open Evening due to the current changes to National guidance. The evening will consist of a presentation from the Principal of the academy and the CEO of Moorlands Learning Trust which will be repeated on three occasions at 5, 6 and 7 pm. The reason for this is that we will have to limit numbers in the hall to mitigate the risk of gathering in an indoor space. We would also respectfully request that visitors wear a face mask inside the hall and use hand sanitisers provided for the same reason.

There will also be tours of the school led by student guides and the opportunity to visit classrooms and meet our staff and students. We would again like to ask visitors to wear face masks and use hand sanitisers in crowded in door areas.

We are also offering the chance for parents to visit during our Open Doors week commencing on Monday 27th September where you can see the day to day running of the school. Places are again limited so please contact to book your place early and avoid missing out.

I look forward to seeing you all on the 29 September.

Yours faithfully

Richard McManus
