Adventure and Discovery Await in C&C Week
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Challenge and Celebration Week 2025, taking place from Monday, 14th July to Thursday, 17th July 2025. This exciting week offers a range of activities for each year group, from exhilarating outdoor challenges to enriching international trips. It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to test their limits, grow, and create unforgettable memories.
Year 7: The Big Mix Year 7 will dive into a week full of action, starting with an adventurous day at Clip 'n Climb, followed by team-based challenges and water activities at Allerthorpe Park. The programme is designed to build teamwork, problem-solving skills, and personal development in a fun and active setting. Whether tackling climbing walls or working through outdoor challenges, Year 7 will be kept energised and engaged throughout.
Year 8: The Big Trip to London For Year 8, The Big Trip will see them head to London for a mix of culture, history, and excitement. Students will explore famous landmarks such as the Science Museum, Natural History Museum, and the London Eye, along with a scenic boat trip on the Thames. The week will conclude with a West End show, providing a memorable end to their time in the capital.
Year 9: The Big Outdoors Year 9 students will venture to the Lake District for a week packed with outdoor adventures, including Ghyll scrambling, rock climbing, and kayaking. The focus will be on building resilience, teamwork, and self-confidence as students take on these challenging activities amidst the beautiful natural scenery. It’s an excellent opportunity for them to embrace the outdoors while developing essential life skills.
Year 10: Parisian Adventure Year 10 will enjoy The Big Parisian Adventure, a four-day trip to Paris. The itinerary includes a relaxing cruise along the River Seine, a visit to the grand Château de Versailles, and an exploration of the world-renowned Louvre Museum. Students will also spend a day at Disneyland Paris, blending cultural discovery with some well-deserved fun. This trip will allow students to experience Paris’s rich history, art, and magic in a way they will never forget.
Year 10: Work Experience and More Year 10 students will get a taste of the working world with The Big Work Experience program, allowing them to gain insights into various professions and develop skills for their future careers. Additionally, they can participate in a celebratory day at Alton Towers, where they can unwind after a productive week.
Year 10 and 11: Moroccan Expedition For Year 10 and 11, the Big Moroccan Expedition offers an incredible opportunity to explore Morocco’s diverse landscapes and rich culture. From trekking through the High Atlas Mountains to participating in community projects in rural villages, this trip will challenge students both physically and mentally. Alongside camel rides in the Sahara Desert and visits to traditional Berber villages, this expedition will encourage students to step out of their comfort zones and develop skills such as leadership, resilience, and cultural understanding.
