Dales Cup Success

Students have succeeded in the newly formed Dales Cup

Dales Cup Win

On Friday 8th December, the Y9/10 Netball Team won the Dales Cup Netball Tournament. The Cup is an inter-school competition that is played throughout the year across a range of sports, and is hosted by various schools throughout the competition. The girls competed against tough competition but used their talent and skill to win the cup. The students involved were an absolute credit to the school; they worked as a team and showed exceptional determination to win the tournament. Kelsi (Yr9) scored 7 out of the 10 goals and our fantastic student coaches, who were unable to play due to injury, showed great leadership skills, making key decisions during the match and supporting the team towards their win.

Football Success

In further sporting success, Our Year 7 and 8 boys football teams also competed in The Dales Cup earlier this half term. The boys were outstanding and played every game with pride and TSA spirit despite the sub zero temperatures. The year 8 team finished in 2nd place only by goal difference.

In other football news, The Dales Cup is also well underway for the year 9 and 10 football teams. Both year groups finished in 2nd place gaining valuable points for the school, which will contribute to the performances from across other year groups and sports. Great character was demonstrated by both teams and there were some outstanding individual performances. All year groups should be very proud of what they have done this term and I cannot wait to see what next term brings.
