Skipton Academy Launches Wellbeing Champions Program

The Skipton Academy is proud to announce the launch of the Wellbeing Champions program, which is dedicated to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing among students. The program will involve high-quality training for select students, who will then go on to work as a team to run wellbeing events in school and liaise with other Wellbeing Champions from other schools.

The program is a great opportunity for students to learn more about mental health and wellbeing, while also helping to improve and develop the way these issues are approached in school. Through the program, students will have the chance to work with peers in different year groups, as well as potentially with other schools, and this is sure to be a great addition to any post-16, university and job applications.

The training for the Wellbeing Champions will be provided by mental health and wellbeing practitioners with expertise in this area. During the program, students will learn the importance of taking care of their mental health, as well as how to share positive information about mental health and wellbeing in their school. They will also be responsible for actively promoting healthy wellbeing throughout the school.

The program is sure to make a positive impact on the mental health of students at The Skipton Academy and give them the chance to make a difference in their community. We wish all our Wellbeing Champions the best of luck in this endeavour, and look forward to seeing the wonderful things they can achieve.
