The Skipton Academy’s annual Career Day brought together a wide range of employers, educators, and training providers to inspire students and broaden their understanding of future pathways.

Students excelled at the recent swimming gala which was held at Upper Wharfedale School as part of the Dales Cup
Moorlands Learning Trust (MLT) was formed on July 1st 2017, when Ilkley Grammar School converted its single academy trust to multi-academy trust (MAT) status. The Skipton Academy joined in 2019 as our first partner academy, and during 2023/24 we welcomed Ashlands Primary, Burley Oaks Primary, Eastburn Primary, Menston Primary and Nidderdale High School. In 2025, Benton Park School became the first secondary school in Leeds to join the Trust and in the same year, Talbot Primary School joined the Trust as the first primary school from Leeds.
